The drive in takes you across a small, but very muddy river crossing that needs attention. The campground at Manning Gorge is right next to beautiful, clear and sandy bottomed Manning Creek which is a popular hangout for visitors to cool off in the Kimberley heat. A hike takes the more active ones to one the most impressive waterfalls along the Gibb River Road in the early season with plenty of waterholes to swim in. The access fee to the gorge includes one night camping, so you might as well stay here.
