Galvans Gorge belongs to Mt. Barnett Station, and is the closest gorge to the Gibb River Road. Leave your vehicle at the car park right next to the road and walk for 800 m/0:15 h first following a fenced off dirt track and then a narrow path along a creek. Once you come out of the high grass you can see a pretty, medium-sized pool below a thin, multi-tiered waterfall early in the season. Sit on the rocks under the falls and enjoy a natural back massage, use the rope swing in an overhanging tree on the right side of the water hole or admire the Aboriginal rock art painting just behind it under a rock overhang.
